ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
The Morningside Heights Housing Corporation Department of Public Safety is charged with insuring the Security of all Morningside Gardens residents as well as the protection of Corporation property. Accomplished with a propriety staff of Deputized Peace Officer’s members of the New York City Special Patrolman’s Program all licensed by New York State and trained by the Municipal Police Council, as well as CPR/AED first responders training in the use of propositioned PAD’s which are located throughout the property. The Department of Public Safety is maintained on property twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred and sixty five days a year (24/7-365) along with a state of the art video surveillance system.
